Frequently Asked Questions
Which beds are compatible with the PTS P4 Multi Bed Mover?
That’s where the magic comes in. We conduct a site audit and the PTS units are customised to your site and fleet of beds and trolleys. New hospital equipment can be added over time and if required upgrades and modifications can be added to the PTS units without changing the physical aspect of the device.
Is the PTS Multi Bed Mover of equipment bariatric compatible?
Yes, the maximum SWL capability is 800kg, it’s quite a Magical Beast! Designed and engineered for hospital function and heavy loads the P4 MBM is the ultimate solution for moving patient beds, trolleys and wheelchairs. For the bariatric model of care use of the electric bed mover is optimal to assist with the patient’s journey throughout the facility and patient transfer procedures.
How do the bed movers, tugs or pushers adapt to beds, trolleys, carts or wheelchairs?
By magic, of course!
Without modification to beds, trolleys, carts or wheelchairs the units are compatible with standard, bariatric, ultra low beds, trolleys, wheelchairs and carts by customised stainless steel claws with neoprene wafers.
Please contact us to discuss and arrange a demonstration.
Can the PTS units travel over any surface in a facility?
Gradients, lifts, carpet, complex pathways, helipad ramps, tight corners, long distances and ridges won’t scare these Magical Beasts.
Variable speed control, optimal manoeuvrability and wheel suspension ensure a smooth and steady journey without lifting, pushing or pulling. The small footprint of the units ensure that when connected to beds, trolleys or carts they can fit into most hospital lifts, narrow corridors, patient rooms, around tight corners and up or down slopes.
Powered steering, variable speed control, auto braking and emergency stop function are offered as standard.
How can we trial or evaluate a PTS unit?
Easily, contact us to discuss what you’re looking for and request a site audit and demonstration.
Who do we get to service a PTS unit?
One of our nationally appointed service technicians who are factory trained, certified and endorsed by us. Please visit the Service Request page and we will be in touch with you to coordinate the service and technical support with you.
We recommend using one of our service partners who have had training, work at agreed rates and use genuine spare parts to ensure your unit continues to perform magically to manufacturer’s specifications.
Annual planned, preventative maintenance or every 1000 hours ensures you will experience maximum up time of the unit and the total cost of ownership is affordable.
What operating table accessories are available?
The most common. A selection of rail clamps, arm boards, supports, straps, gels, wedges, bean bags and other patient positioning solutions to suit a variety of rail types and operating tables.
Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
We need an audit on our table accessories and positioning equipment, how can you help?
We don’t distribute an operating table or single brand of accessories so we’re non biased and focused on safe, optimal positioning of the surgical patient. Solid working relationships with operating table and table accessory manufacturers affords us the scope and freedom to choose magical beasts fit for purpose and user’s preferences.
Continuous reappraisal of equipment, accessories and ancillaries improves safety for patients and clinicians. An audit of your case mix, positioning preferences and existing accessories and equipment by us will generate for you some options, recommendations and solutions to consider.

How do we optimise patient positioning in our operating theatres?
Individual practitioner’s preferences vary but we can all agree that elimination of risk, maximisation of patient and staff safety, patient outcome and lack of compromise to surgical, airway and imaging access is the common ground.
Communication between anaesthetists, surgeons, nursing staff and theatre technicians is vital, as is having the right equipment and ancillaries. The magic is in the solution!
